Amiri Baraka, born in 1934, in Newark, New Jersey, USA, is the author of over 40 books of essays, poems, drama, and music history and criticism, a poet icon and revolutionary political activist who has recited poetry and lectured on cultural and political issues extensively in the USA, the Caribbean, Africa, and Europe.

Artist Felicia Khong is hosting an art show and has invited Ray to “sit in”. The piano sculpture “Miles and Monk in the Sky” and other works will be on display in the penthouse at the W hotel at Hollywood and Vine. The Show is July 9, 2010. Cost is $25, Parking on Selma before Vine.
The “For The Love Of Music” Art Showcase will be featuring music-inspired art / live painting and premiering the new art series “Ear Candy” with a full candy bar serving your favorite sweets!
